Titans vs Rabbitohs Preview by Dean McHugh
The first of three matches on Saturday sees two teams routed towards the bottom of the ladder as the Titans host the Rabbitohs. Both teams won last time out and they will be hoping that having a rest last week won’t halt their momentum.
The Titans have been involved in some mightily close games recently with their last seven seeing a winning margin of just four points or below. They have won two of their last three, both by margins of two points, so perhaps they have finally learnt to get over the line.
Although South Sydney beat the Eels last time out, they have been far from impressive this season. However, they do have history on their side, and they appear to be somewhat of a bogey team for Gold Coast, having won the last eight meets between them. This puts me off picking the Titans, although I do see them ending that run of defeats here.
Instead I’m going to go for points in this one. Neither team have great defences and two of their previous three meetings at the Cbus Super Stadium have seen 70 points or more scored.
