Illawarra vs Rabbitohs Preview by Dean McHugh

This matchup in Wollongong will be an opportunity for two teams down the bottom of the ladder to pick up a win and kick start their poor beginnings to the season. St. George have been mightily inconsistent of late having won two and lost two of their last four. The same cannot be said about the Rabbitohs. They are certainly consistent…..consistently bad! They’ve lost their last four in a row by margins of 30, 34, 12 and 30.

However, they will be encouraged by their good record against their hosts here, as they have won three of their previous four meetings. This puts me off taking Illawarra against the Handicap. With South Sydney shipping so many tries this season, the smart money seems to be on picking a St. George player to get over the paint. My money’s on Ravalawa, who posted two tries last week against Cronulla. Anyway, who scores once, let alone twice, in one game against the Sharks has to be in decent form.
