CANTERBURY PREVIEW – July 3
Heavy 9; Rail Out 6m
Best Bet
RACE 7 (10) SHE’S UNUSUAL: Promising ex-Kiwi mare holds plenty of scope to improve on a dominant first-up win over 1400m at Newcastle, her second heavy track win from just four starts. Will be strong over the extra distance.
For Value
RACE 5 (10) FRENCH MARINE: Loves wet tracks and sure to relish the conditions getting down to 52.5kg off his last start placing in the heavy under 59kg at Coffs Harbour for his third successive placing. Rates highly on his close Warwick Farm third in this class at his previous start.

TRIAL POINTERS
RANDWICK June 28: A fast open heat over 738m featured an impressive second from ZARAGOZA, a former Godolphin runner having his first outing for his new trainers Rob and Luke Price.
WYONG June 19: Unraced 2YO FIREWORK, a Written Tycoon youngster, impressed winning his second trial by five lengths in good time for the session (61.01; 35.58).
RANDWICK June 14: Some nice rising 3YO prospects led by FORTINGALL, an unraced colt by I Am Invincible who has now won two of his three trials with this effort his best to date. Sat off the pace in his 740m heat before working into it from the 400m and putting in strong work over the last 200m for a stylish win in good time for the session (43.52; 33.21). Sure to be competitive on debut.
ROSEHILL June 11: Cleverly named Too Darn Hot filly SWELTER sports the famous Winx colours and looks to have turned the corner after four previous unplaced trials. Travelled fourth off the pace but liked the way she responded when given a squeeze in her 900m heat to sprint past the leaders and run to the line with ease for soft win. The time was slow (57.37; 36.16) but the signs are positive.
