Western Bulldogs v Sydney Swans, Marvel Stadium
Luke Beveridge’s tenure at the Whitten Oval was on shaky ground three weeks ago after a
shock defeat to Hawthorn. But the Bulldogs have given their premiership coach new life with
consecutive wins, including a resounding triumph over GWS last Saturday. But the other
Sydney team is in far better form and will prove to be a bigger challenge. The Swans are
firing at 9-1 – their best start to a season since 1945. They are even doing it without former
captain Luke Parker, who became frustrated in the VFL and will be on the sidelines for an
extended period. Sydney still have current captain Callum Mills to return in what is shaping
as their best chance at a first premiership since 2012.
TIP: Sydney by 17 points, James Rowbottom to have 10 or more tackles
