Sharks vs Panthers Preview by Dean McHugh
The Sharks versus the Panthers is easily the tie of the round this week and we cannot wait for this one. History certainly favours the away side here as Penrith have come away with the spoils in seven of the last eight meetings between these teams.
However, a shock loss to the Warriors last week derailed their momentum and ended their four game win streak. Perhaps they took their eye off the ball and were more focused on this one? They will certainly need to be focused against a Sharks team that has won seven straight and have swept everyone away that has got in their way.
Expect the Panthers to come out of the traps fast in this one and lay down a marker. They will want to banish the memory of last week’s defeat to the Warriors as quickly as possible, and a good start here will do that. They tend to start their games well too, as they’ve been leading at half-time in their previous five matches. The same cannot be said of Cronulla who have failed to be in the lead at half-time in their last three.
Bet – Panthers to be Leading at Half-Time
